> You have got to get over this.
You've been begging for that for quite some time now, but the problem won't go away that easily. It's up to you to make good on your end.
> It's been like 10 months now.
That's an extremely long time to have such a public disagreement go unresolved. Perhaps it's not important to you to resolve it, but as a result, your (ahem) "reputation" has taken quite a beating.
> You bid the eBay auction and
> received as advertised.
Absolutely not. You keep claiming you would not combine shipping charges, YET YOU COMBINED SHIPPING INTO ONE ENVELOPE. I made that point with big capital letters in the vain hope that you might possibly understand what the problem is.
> Take that as a lesson to ask before you bid.
I should ask each eBay seller "Do you intend to screw me over with postage?" just because you did?
> I've made many many trades on the board.
I'm sure you think so, but that's not the point. You have missed out on many more trades, to the point where people post to say either they have what you need, or need what you are offering, but they will not trade with you because of this matter. Someday, I'm sure, it will sink in.
> I do not charge a postage fee on trade,
> so please stop spreading that false rumor.
You've screwed me over on postage, and refuse to make good on it, so there's a much higher than normal chance you'll screw other people over. Your trade offers DO NOT STATE that you won't charge, say, $25.00 postage, so it's up to the potential trade partner to ask, right?
> On sales I clearly state any shipping fees
> and, with the Nellis AFB chip, have not
> charged any shipping at all.
Then what's the big deal about refusing to refund my excess shipping and handling fees I paid you? The Nellis AFB chips are completely beside the point. Why won't you refund the surplus shipping and handling you gouged me for?
> My recent eBay sales had all s&h fees clearly
> stated and all received positive feedback.
Yet you've received negative feedback from me, and the situation is still unresolved. You refused eBay's Square Trade Arbitration, because you know you'll lose since what you did ("fee avoidance") is against eBay's policies.
> This whole shipping fee problem appears to be
> unique to you.
The marketing strategy of yours - "I'll do right by you, and will only screw the other guy" - is one of the poorest strategies you could adopt. Whether the problem is unique to me is irrelevant. The actual issue is that you refuse to make good on the swindle, to the extent that many other people realize you're not only playing with less than a full deck, you're missing all the face cards.
> Just because you're still upset from a sale
> back in 2003 doesn't mean that "everyone" on
> the board feels as you do.
It certainly appears that way. In the most recent two threads you've started here, how many people actually support your position? None.
Here's the appropriate analogy: If you're walking down the street, and somebody comes up to you and says you're drunk, he could be wrong. If someone else also tells you you're drunk, he too could be wrong. But if a third guy comes up to you and says the same thing, then fall down, because you're drunk. With respect to this ongoing problem - Vic, you're drunk. That is to say, other people have brought up the same issue with you, and that should be an indication that just maybe you're wrong and everyone else is right.
