(because some seem so miniscule and almost ridiculous), I believe that the more complete the information provided in a "chip guide", the better off we all are. The question is, is how does someone or a group of "someones" keep track of all of these minute differences? And who determines what actually is a variation? The example you noted to me IS a variation. But there have been so many other posts recently showing subtle differences in the color of the chip or shade of an inlay. In my mind, a measureable difference (different size or style font, location of emblems or sizes of the lions' heads on the old MGM chips) do represent variations and should be noted.
