I recently purchased a large lot (500+) of Paulson top hat and cane chips for use in a home game. As you can see from the photo each chip is hotstamped in gold with a value on one side and then a hologram is affixed to the other. All 500+ chips have this same format except for one chip - the one with the "Fanatasy Cruises" Logo. It has a hologram on one side and the Fantasy Cruises logo on the other. I looked more carefully at the chips with the denomination on one side and the holograph on the other and it appears that at one time someone sanded, drilled or somehow removed the fantasy cruises logo from all the rest of the chips and then affixed the holographic sticker. Is this something Paulson would have done at the factory if the chip order was cancelled before it was completed? I assume the chips that remains with the logo was also meant to have its logo destroyed but was accidentally sanded on the wrong side. Is the one surviving chip with the fantasy cruise logo rare?
