I've read the book. I'm a big fan of Vegas history so I'd like almost any book on this subject. The clear theme of the book is to raise Wilkerson Sr.'s profile as most people only know of Ben Siegel. Two interesting points in the book are that almost all of Wilkerson's records were destroyed by him (I think in the early 50's) because of a legal conflict with his accountant. And that Wilkerson was involved with Moe Sedway and Gus Greenbaum from the beginning. Probably Wilkerson intended to run the hotel, restaurant and showroom leaving the casino to experts. Most histories that I've read claim that these guys first showed up with Siegel after Wilkerson ran into financial trouble.
