It is quite clear from the Ebay listings you have referenced that Pete is not representing these chips as having come from a casino. He clearly referes to them as "Fantasy" and doesn't claim they are associated with any casino.
Friend, I must disagree. To start with, where do Maine lobsters come from? Texas? No - they come from Maine. How about Russian caviar? Mexico? You see where this is heading? A product description certainly suggest something about the product.
"$25 Casino Chip" - ok am I to guess it's not worth $25 and it's also not a casino chip. Two out of three descriptive words are patently false.
Ya think Pete does this by accident? No - he does it on purpose to intentionally misrepresent the item in hopes of selling more to suckers.
The words "Casino chips" cleary suggest that they are issued by, have been, or could be used in, a casino and that simply is not the case no matter how you stretch and twist the semantic argument.
The words "Poker chip" suggest they have been, or could be used in a poker game and most any disk-like object players agree to use could fit that description.
More importantly, you need to look closely at the listings you speak of. The following are listed as Casino chips and no disclosure that they are fantasy chips is anywhere in the listing.
