I have stayed away from controversy on this board for over a year and I have enjoyed being away from that.
At the risk of getting ensnared in that crap again I must comment on Mr. Sutton's repeated posting about this issue.
You take offense at Pete's reference to these chips as Casino Chips and suggest that because they were not issued by a casino they are not "Casino Chips".
It is quite clear from the Ebay listings you have referenced that Pete is not representing these chips as having come from a casino. He clearly referes to them as "Fantasy" and doesn't claim they are associated with any casino.
His use of the term Casino Chip in the title of the auction clealry does not mislead any intelligent person to believe that these chips were used in a casino. He uses the the term Casino Chip the way many people do, to describe as the type of chip used in casinos. Some people call them Poker Chips, are they misrepresenting the chip even if it was never used in a poker game? maybe it was from a casino that never had a Poker Room.
It is quite clear to anyone that Casino Chip is a term COMMONLY used by people to describe the type of chip not where it was issued from. I have seen this repeatedly among collectors and non-collectors.
I take great offense at those who misrepresent chips, but using a generic term like Casino Chip in the context of Pete's auctions is not a misrepresentation.
I understand that you had an unsatisfactory transaction with Mr. Rizzo. Unfortunately these things will occur from time to time. I also understand that through the intervention of Mr. Perlowski that transaction is being resolved.
Certainly you are free to continue to hold your grudge against Pete as long as you like, but it is time that you put this issue to bed, because quite honestly even though I have my issues with Pete Rizzo, your incessant posting of this ridiculous complaint (I refer to the use fo the Casino Chips term) makes you look bad, not Pete.
