All of the limit HE games at the Palms are played with a Half Kill. Some rooms play with a Full Kill. Let's assume that the game is $4-$8 HE with a Half Kill and the blinds are $1 and $2. Now assume that a player wins two hands in a row (and that there was a flop on both of those hands and that neither of those two pots were split). If the player who has won two pots in a row is not in one of the blinds, he/she must post a third blind of $3. In our room, unless there has been a raise before the action gets to the Kill button, the action skips over the button and he/she will have last action (pre-flop only). If the pot has been raised before the kill button then the person with the kill will act in normal turn. Since the game was $4-$8 and we are playing with a half kill, the betting structure for this hand will be $6-$12. This structure will continue as long as the same person continues to win and assuming that there is a flop and that the pot is not split. When a different person wins, the structure reverts back to $4-$8.
It really is not as complicated as it sounds
