I see. So you never took the exam but were granted a license to practice from New York based upon experience. Very Good! Did New York issue you an actual permanent certificate or just a temporary one while you were working in the States?
In the past I have found that a State will issue a liecense to practice but not a certificate unless the exam was actually taken in that State.
I guess while dealing with the Nevada State Board of Accountancy on behalf of the Internal Revenue Service it allowed me to learn a great deal on how the various States operate.
