I qualified in the UK as both a CA and PFA. Whilst working for KPMG in New York I attained my CPA status under the rules prevalent at that time allowing employers to submit a letter of recommendation where a persons relevant experience/existing qualifications exceed the requirements of your board. I therefore hold an international license. During the past 20 years I have practised under this license in NY & CT states, Toronto, Bermuda, Moscow and most of Europe. Im sorry but I no longer have my copy of the NY register from 15 years ago where my name appeared. There didnt seem much point - my 3 certificates were sufficient.
