No running -no fading-don't have a digitial camera to take a picture for you. I have even put them in the dryer on low heat-there you end up with a lot on felt in your lint trap and I think a slight dis-coloring. Have not noticed any discoloring with a cold cycle in the washing machine. See that I mis-spelled detergent on my last post[sorry].I stared with cutting the extra felt were the money tray[float] used to be, I then compare the waste with the layout that I washed. It looked brighter,didn't stink anymore and I have been washing them ever since.
