My use of "Unique and Rare" chips within my auctions is definitely all about sales hype! I purchased these chips for that purpose - almost exclusively. The other reason these chips were made for me was explained in the above posts.

Of course you neglected to recap my part of reason number 2 which said these are certainly becoming less rare; as I fully recognize that Matsui is now selling these to anyone with money. Yet I believe that my RCC product is unique and rare in what it represents. It is also a unique design - and limited in availability - therefore it is rare. Do you think that the new chips that Chipco makes and calls LE's and sells to anyone with money are rare and unique? Do you think that most of the chips you have purchased from old casinos or new - were made in quantities less then that which I have ordered? Weren't they at one time - not rare or less rare? It's certainly possible that someday these chips will have value greater then they do today.

Though, I don't disapprove of your sentiment, rationale and message. I don't claim to be an avid collector as you probably are yourself - so certainly your definition of the word "rare" means one thing to you and another to me as it relates to these specific chips.

I also am not marketing to collector's specifically, else I wouldn't sell complete playable sets of 500 chips. If that were my intention, I would only sell them one at a time.

I do hope you purchase a sample set of these, and someday cherish them for the reasons many others have and will. I don't imagine that anyone else will ever have the same sentiment for these chips as I - my connection to them could not be replicated.
