As a long time collector of autographs, I would suggest that you hang onto it for a while. Unless you get a good offer for it that is.
Autographs fluctuate in value much like stocks do, but there are many other varying factors ie; item autographed, authenticity, celebrity status, collectibility...etc.
For instance; my Leonardo DiCaprio autographs have been fluctuating between $50 - $100, whereas my Andy Warhol has recently skyrocketed to $5000.
A good magazine to read about autograph collecting is Autograph Magazine, available at Borders or Barnes & Noble. Also despite what folks will tell you about , in the autograph department the prices realized (disregarding bidding wars) are a pretty much accurate price guideline.
Sorry all for being so NCR about this post, but autographs are one of my collecting passions. Hell, I even get my friends to autograph "party" pictures! Hey! Ya never know, one of my college friends became the youngest Mayor in the country, and had a part on MTV's Road Rules show.
