To my knowledge they weren't really affiliated. I have spoken to Vinny once, who is/was the guy who ran Rounders NJ, but I don't think there was ever any connection.

The Rounders Card Club of NY and Toronto also had no real affiliation with the Scaremento group. Though Frankie suspects it was just one of the guys who used to play regularly with them and had moved to California. The Rounders Club in California was actually a legit card room from 1977-1981 from what I have been able to find out about it. The NY and Toronto locations were like many backroom/underground poker rooms at the time. By invitation only and lots of cash was groomed from them...
