Borland had a retail store in Las Vegas. He had an inventory of blank chips and would hot-stamp to order.
He would also take orders for inlaid-center chips for personal use. To promote these, he had a number of stock chips made up; some had his name on them, some had other gaming-related or humorous themes. These were available for sale at his store, The Gambler. He had a multi-page tabloid mailer that he sent out several times a year, much like Gamblers General Store does now.
