I've come across an encased cent (1948 penny). It is round and brass colored, maybe even copper. It is the same thickness as the penny it holds.

On both sides, in relief lettering, in a circular pattern around the penny, it is marked "STORK CLUB".

According to the older version of TGT, there were several Stork Clubs that covered this period of time. Does anyone have knowledge of this encased cent?

If I owned it, I'd scan it.
