I stayed at her once. I wasn't prepared for the experience. I tend to be a night owl and stay up until 3, 4, 5... in the morning. Turns out they have an unique tradition there. Being a series of two story motels, they come through doing linens at about 7 or 8 am. Instead of carrying them down from the second floor, they put them in a bag and toss them to a cart/truck below. My first morning at the hotel, I heard this BOOM while asleep and immediately dove off the bed to the ground. The truck was right outside my room. I thought someone was firing a gun. After I came too, I peeked outside. They had moved on. WIDE awake, I took in an "early" breakfast.
I'll always remember that. Nothing beats the old places.
