I don't know if this subject has already been discussed on The Chipboard but back in February there was an article in the
Las Vegas Review-Journal that speculates that when the merger between Boyd Gaming and Coast Casinos is completed
this would give Boyd the opportunity to start fund raising so they can implode the Stardust and build a new world-class
resort to compete with Wynn Las Vegas and a new planned resort at the Venetian.

I guess business is business and if Mr. Boyd and his family feel that they can no longer make a profit at the Stardust and
the only alternative is to raze it and start over again then so be it. But I have to say that the Stardust will always have a
class that the mega resorts such as the Mirage, Treasure Island, MGM or Luxor will never be able to capture or have.
