On the Card Player web-site, they say he had a blood clot in the brain. I am very saddened by this. He was, without any question in my mind, the best tournament writer, wrote terrific articles for several magazines and web-sites, and seemed to be a genuinely nice and interesting person. I will miss his newsletters, reports and articles. He was one of my two or three favorite poker personalities. I am also sad that he never fulfilled his dream of winning a major tournament. His face was often visible in the audience at World Poker Tour and other tournament broadcasts. It is also too bad that he never finished his biography of Phil Hellmuth. I wonder if someone else will pick it up and complete it.
In any case, he will be missed.
