In Response To: Re: Paul said . . . . . grin ()

An employee never had to risk his entire savings and risk going into business. Someone hold a gun to your head to do it?

I really don't understand this response.

Michael said: If an employee wants any increases in benefits/compensation he is at the mercy of the employer.

This is true, In walks Enron, Boeing, American Airlines, etc.... GREEDY Employer. Sure, a man works 20~30 years for a company and he walks away and starts from the bottom? Companies know the employee is over a barrel the longer he stays and the more in debt he gets (Mortgage, College, etc)

You cnveniently failed to mention the corrupt trade unions and union leaders in the above statement.

Yes, these 3 or 4 or so huge corporate employers need to be put in prison along with the union leaders. But the businesses I am referring to are the small mom and pop companies who may employ 1 or 10 or so employees. These are the people I'm concerned about--not the huge corporations.

You're wasting your time crying on my shoulder about all the abuses I know, you are too late to save. By your prior comments I know you would spend more to help a dog than another human being. So I know where your compassion is. I recognize I did not get where I am without the help of others throughout my life, I am very fortunate. I try to help others along the way as well, rather then pick their pocket.

Dogs, like other animals are helpless and dependent upon humans. Humans have free will.

These are the people who jump for joy when they read the morning paper and see that another one of our armed forces men was killed the night before Do you REALLY believe that? NO. Does it sadden you when a baby dies because the mother made minimum wage and had no health care, enough food, or clean place to live? NO, you could care less, it doesn't affect your life and it's not your problem. Like Scrooge said Let the poor people die and reduce the population. You so remind me of him.

It saddens me very much when I see this. It also saddens me when I see this same mother continue on having babies and collecting welfare. Please show me a recent article (last 60 years or so) whereas anyone in America has starved to death. While your at it, show me an article showing a death of an American due to the fact that she/he didn't have health insurance.
