I made my reservations yesterday for Jim Munding's Reno chip show Sept 17th and 18th at the Golden Phoenix. The special room rates for the show are $55 for Sunday-Thursday and $85 for Friday-Saturday. This is a very reasonable rate considering the Reno Air Races are the same weekend.

It was a bit of a hassle getting this rate, as the reservation folks at the hotel couldn't seem to find any info on the show. It took my being transferred to 4 different people before I found someone who could find it. Ask to talk to a casino host, them tell him or her that you want to reserve a room for the "Casino Chip and Gaming Memorabilia Show". ...I think that's what they have it listed as in their computer system. The GRC CASINO code shown on Jim's flier got me no where with the reservations desk personnel.

I think I'm going to be making up for not being able to make it to the convention this year. Jim's Reno show in September, then the Chipper's Cruise two weeks later. I CAN'T WAIT!!!
