I'm sure this varies from state to state, Terry. I've been collecting sales tax for the state of Ca. for over 30 years. Not once have I ever been paid for collecting those taxes.

That's one thing that really ticks me off. I am "required" to collect "their" tax with no compensation. Plus, I have to put my $0.37 stamp on the envelope to mail in my payment four times a year. If i'm ever one day late......."PENALTY TIME" !!!
