I had the same question, but before I could post the question, Gene left town! He won't be back for a week or so and he seems to have a lot of knowledge with this; speaking first hand with the "Chip Doctorer's" and all :-)

I also wondered if they can work in any mold made, or are they limited to H&C? I noticed the Rectangle molds have no crosshatching, and the color of the chip is speckled - for lack of a better word. Like the $5.00 Las Vegas Mustard "New Frontier" chip. It is not a solid Yellow, it has specks of black in it. Seems like it would be harder to replicate it.
