I agree Robert - more collectors are leaving and more profit seakers are entering. The problem is, who will be left to buy the chips when all there are left are sellers?
Let us not forget the Beanie Baby fiasco. The secondary market priced these things through the roof and finally someone said, "What, are we nuts. These are dolls for Christ-sake!"
I wonder if this will ever happen to chips? Who will lose at hot-potato chipping and be the last one holding the $40,000 chips when someone finally says, "Are we crazy? I could buy a house for the price of these clay disks!" and the house of cards comes tumbling down.
The artificial rariety with the LE's is another subject entirely, and I have nothing to say and little interest in it.
