Art and Muriel, along with the Blancks, were the first collectors I met when I attended my first convention. They were so much fun to be around and I enjoyed just hanging out at the registration table with them. One of my favorite memories of Art is when he was untangling the yarn we used on badges on year. He made the comment that that's what they had the old people do in the nursing home...busy work. I thought he was serious and then he smiled and I knew he was poking fun at himself.
It was so clear that they loved one another and when Muriel passed away, I wondered how Art would survive without her. I suppose he couldn't or just didn't want to.
May God bless both of their souls.
