If you ever want to really feel unsafe, visit some of the card rooms on PCH in Seattle--after dark. Might as well include Tacoma as well.

I may be a senior citizen, but am 6'2" and weigh 290 and don't usually feel to intimidated at most places I frequent, but let me tell you something--some of these Seattle card rooms scare the living Sh** out of me.

Did you ever see the Patrick Swayze movie "Roadhouse?" Well, if you want to see a replica of it, Seattle is the place. I was actually "frisked" by two huge fellows for whatever before I was let into to 3 cardroom/saloon in Twilika. Scared? you bet I was and couldn't wait to get my chips and out of there. If I remember, I think one of them was called the 21 club (but not sure.) The Pub in Tacoma was another. Not frisked but glad to get out of there as well. Wow, could I tell you some stories about those places-- stories I wouldn't let my wife know about for fear she thought I was really crazy. I don't think modern day Kansas City could match these places.
