I have been in my 'DogHouse' all morning trying to meet the deadline for my quarterly newsletter. When I came out to work on it I saw most of my bird and squirrel feeders were low so I filled them all. One of the squirrel feeders is an old rural mailbox that I put up in front of the doghouse and I throw in a couple of handfuls of peanuts and some dried corn. The 'DogHouse' has a solid glass storm door so I can watch the birds as I work (play). This door has caused some havoc with the birds as they sometimes try to fly in. There is a glare from the outside in the mornings when the sun is just right and the dog can see the squirrels but they can't see her, soon I am going to post a nose-to-nose photo of Coco and a squirrel on either side of the door. Anyway, After I put penults in the mailbox, I trailed them to the door and put a pile on the floor JUST INSIDE the glass door..... The squirrels are going NUTS trying to figure out how to get those peanuts on the INSIDE! Hopefully I can get a picture soon.
