But honestly not completely unexpected. Art and Muriel were inseparable and somehow we knew that when one of them went, the other would follow soon.

They were genuinely nice people, and good friends. I remember not long ago when Sandy posted that he was collecting $5 slot tokens and asked if anyone had any they'd be willing to part with, I sent him one with my personal thanks for all the hard work they'd done for the Club at registration over the years. His note back was full of gratitude and friendship.

To think that they'll never again be the welcoming faces we saw with the Blancks at registration at the conventions is hard to believe. They'd become such tireless, permanent good-will greeters. When I volunteered to help at registration this year, it was in part to help the Club, but also in part my way of paying tribute to the Sandersons and to the Blancks, who couldn't make the convention this year.

They will be missed.
