grin My One and A Half Cents...

This is tough. I agree with points made from both sides. I can see the reasoning on the side of TCR as well as that of the opposition. You have made some valid points. I do think it might be worth consideration to give restored/altered chips their own symbol with no value.

After all, it may be an original chip, but the restoration/alterations should definitely detract from the value in a major way. It's not like a one-of-a-kind restored Rembrandt that's hanging in a museum. What's next? Informercials selling chip repair kits, like those kits that repair vinyl and leather?

Not only does restoring/altering chips detract from its history, but it's kind of like slabbing in that it will ulitmately affect the hobby in a negative way.

Just this newbie's one and a half cents. Thank you grin
