So why would the casino be able to keep the money Gene? Wouldn't the casino have to prove they were counting or doing somethings else forbidden?
Maybe the story was dranatized for the TV audience, but ABC news and several casino people said it did happen, or are their names fiction as well?

And what a bout the interview with Beverly Griffin and her investigator? These are certainly real people, aren't they?
Bottom line, they got 86ed from the casinos and basically wound up with little to show for all their work, even if you believe that basis of the story.
How about Jerry Patterson and his count teams? They banned him in AC and Vegas, so he was making someone unhappy with his play. There are stories of other fairly well-know teams as well. Then there are the lone players, Flemming comes to mind.
