I appreciate your opinon as to the authors and the hard work they put into the book, and I wholeheartedly agree with you on those points.

And yes, it's their book and they can put into it whatever they so desire - but to me putting any value for a repaired chip is not easy for me to accept - it would be like going to the Blue Book and seeing seperate values for cars that had been repaired after being totaled.

As for the need for the book, or guide as some people refer to it, we collect specific current Las Vegas casinos only and have Andy's great NIS that care of those new chips.

As for older and obsolete chips we have the older #9 book and use that book for price guidance, but, sometimes I buy the chip at an agreed to price, without looking at the old pricing because it's a chip we have been lookng for quite some time. And besides, my SSI is paying for it.
