I did not take your original post as demeaning to the authors. Please do not take this as an attack but isn't your reaction to the authors' opinions a bit harsh? Isn't there ANYTHING in their book that is of ANY value to you? Those 3 gentlemen/authors are 3 of the best people that have ever traversed our great hobby! Please view what's in the book as what it is--their collective OPINION. Chuck T.

P.S. I, too, don't agree with their assigning a value higher than the lowest value to ANY repaired chip.
