I don't find it hard to believe at all. There will always be pros and cons on any issue in ANY organization.

Opposition and/or constructive criticism can be beneficial in that it can, at times, bring out another facet or view to an issue. That can lead to further discussion and result in the greater good for that organization.

Members may certainly disagree on whether a building fund is necessary and ask questions, but I don't think that was what caused the upset. I think it may have been that the original post seemed to suggest that something fraudulent was about. That may be what caused the avalanche of responses.

Opposing views and freedom of speech, when used in the proper forum are part of what make America great.
