I'm sorry if you had to look it up and I'm quite certain that it was by accident that you chose the wrong definition.

In the sentence you quoted, the word "obtuse" means "slow to apprehend or perceive" and referred to the insistance (by some) that Joe didn't simply ask a valid question.

I honestly do not know how one goes about becoming a Troll. Maybe you could enlighten me on that at some point in the future.

As for intent, know this:

If I had attended the convention as a new member and heard the comment that Joe said he heard, I may have posted something similar to what he did.

The response he received he did not deserve and I despise a mob mentality especially when it suggests that a member does not have the ABSOLUTE RIGHT to question our "great leaders".
