I have has two claim and both were handled very well and to my satisfaction. On claims under $50 the PO approves and pays them in house at the local Post Office.

I think Postal Employees a very honest. I hate it when people call Postal Employees theives because they are far from it. Remember the Post Office handles BILLIONS of pieces of mail a year.

Look at it like this, if each customer of the Post office received 2 letters or packages a year that weren't theirs that would be about .00000000001% misdelivered or lost mail. The totals would be millions of letter that were lost or misdelivered at that percentage. I know the Post Office does much better than that. If private industry could do that well it would be the mirical.
