...and I also remember that the Pony Yak dealer charged you through the nose for a replacement!
If you only have one that's bad, remove it (or have someone remove it for you), send it to me and I'll fix it for you. It'll only cost you shipping here and back. If you want to replace it again through the dealer, you have an idea of what that will cost. In any case, dealing with just the one speaker will involve a lot less hassle and money than looking to put something other than the original speaker in that system. Most of the Bose car speakers are one or two ohms, and you'd have a difficult/impossible time finding anything similar with the same impedance.
