Walter, I have no problem with referring to The Strip as Las Vegas. But for voting, taxing, etc. it is not located in the City of Las Vegas. Of course, I even refer to going to Nevada Landing as "going to Las Vegas." If you get a chance, zoom in on the map I have linked to this post. The city boundaries are very clear. I believe that LV Metro Police serve The Strip, also. I guess what I'm saying is that it's all Vegas, Baby! But not in some instances.
By the way, I live in a fast growing, but still small city of Corona, CA. We have about five Zip Codes. All within the city boundaries.
