Rich, here's one for you. At one of the conventions one of the dealers had something that I wanted very much and could afford. This well known dealer didn't take credit cards, so I got my checkbook out. There I was with my convention ID with my member number on it, ready to write a check when the dealer said, "I don't know you. I won't take a check." Needless to say, that left a very bad taste in my mouth, and I wouldn't consider buying anything from that dealer now.
