Turd or not, unless he has the reputation of not paying, chips should not be held.
What brought this topic to mind is a transaction I just had with a Las Vegasan(?) whom I don't know and whom I don't even think is a club member. I emailed this person about some chips I wanted. We came to an agreement (well over $1000), I dropped a personal check in the mail. The next day I had the chips in my hands (express, insured $30+).
If a non-club stranger (at least to me) can behave this way, can't one expect at least as much from a club member?
