Many ebay buyers (including moi) simply will not bid on a reserve auction even if we really want the item. Sellers with reserves are simply elimanting potential buyers.

If the seller has a minimum price, he should start the auction at that price.

Stating the reserve in the description does not help if you are the only bidder on the item and you were perfectly willing to pay the reserve price.
