...the seller risking a loss. I hate reserves too and think they should START at their minimum. BUT if you put a low opening bid with a reserve bidders try and get it at a low price or just 'test' the water with a moderate bid, others seeing the number of bids get caught up in a bidding frenzy. It's a game for sellers.
ALSO, sellers can put a HIGH reserve just to see what the itme might sell for brfore he is committed. I rarly bid with a reserve.
I would like to RESERVE BID... I bid, win, THEN if I didn't win one cheaper elsewhere buy it.! LOL
