building a new casino in downtown Detroit?

When we were there last week eating dinner at the "Hollywood Brown Derby" the hostess and waiter both told us that MGM had already bought the land just down the street and were in the process of getting a building permit, something hard to do in Detroit especially when they already have a casino.

And BTW a casino owner is only allowed 1 casino per town so MGM is going to have to sell off Motor City casino too - we heard they already have an offer.
