Well, it looks like they put my mug shot in the paper although my browser shows a big 'X' in the box. Just as well though . I kept trying to stay out of the photographers way but he finally asked me to stay IN the picture. Go figure....
The items are listed on the Greg Martin Auctions website. I'll put the link below....
There were NO chips in the auction. There were some of the aluminum(?) tokens in one of the 'trinket' lots, which also included postcards, keychains, jackpot trays, etc. I had my eye on an old coin changer and a hand-crank coin counter, but there was a guy (an auction house employee I think) that was spitting out absentee bids for someone. I managed to get a few bids in but eventually realized that his pockets were a WHOLE lot deeper than mine.
FYI, if you use my link to the auction website, note that the Nevada Club lots are #'s 500-506 (all wall-mounted steer horns), and 513-528. I didn't write down all the selling prices, but remember that the steer horns all went in the $400-$675 range. The table felts all sold for around $150 or more. The roulette wheel/table sold for $3500, and the stand-alone wheels went for at least $1500, perhaps a bit more. I'm sure they will post all the selling prices eventually.
I walked away empty handed, and can't go to the convention this year. Think I'll go sit in the corner and sulk for a while .
