Sorry, I haven't been in it since the last big poker tournament they hosted. I played in the 500 pot limit with re-buys, I'm guessing 1992 or 3.
I remember I knocked Amarillo Slim out of it, Slim had raised before the flop and I limped in with kings. in my mind a big raise would have made him fold. He floped an ace and I turned a king. He got all in an the turn.
Johnny Chan knocked me out 4 hands later.
I remember Slim saying as he realized he got beat by the best hand before the flop, "I guess that feller, don't know who I am."
Dewey Tomko told Slim, "we all know who you are Slim, but its tough to lay down the best hand, to a legend, if only in his own mind ."
TJ was at our table also. Not sure how I wound up at same table with 4 of the best in the world.
