Len,
I am hopeful that this will help you and the CC & GTC as it did our company, as we ran trade shows across the country with a number non-profit groups that sponsored our shows. If you already know this then please hit me twice at the convention!
Radio stations are required by FCC rules to offer PSA's (Public Service Announcements). The number and frequency required I do not know. These PSA's, 10, 30 and 60 second spots are ONLY available to Non profit groups (like the CC & GTCC) and are available on a first come - first serve basis. Most likely, it is too late to advertize for this year, but for next year and forward, you should submit your PSA's to all radio stations in NV, AZ and S.CA.
Just because you submit the spots doesn't mandate they will be run, it only gets you considered to have the spot run. When/If run, these spots offer siginificant advertising potential and reach.
The best part is that these Spots or radio ads are FREE to Non-profits! They can and should represent a significant amount of time for folks involved with the Convention to increase the potential turnout.
I would be happy to help you with this for the CC & GTCC in future years if need be.
Email me if you would like help.
