Norm said my post was annoying - that was a commentary on me, but not on the issue raised.

That is know as an "Ad Hominem Abusive" - an attack on the person, not the assertion, statement, or issue itself. A logical fallacy. Non-responsive. Move to strike!

Mike - you're reading what isn't there. It's not an attack. You are construing my post in a way that suits your purpose. Look at how far off topic the post is now - it's about you and I, not the original topic which was, lest we forget, JPA and their log in problem.

All the copy and paste items you listed all go to functionality of the site. The easier a site is to use, the more a user will visit. Can we agree on that statement?

If it's easier to list, a user will visit more often. If sellers get better prices, they will list at JPA more often. The harder a site is to use, the less a user will visit, ergo fewer eyeballs, lower prices, fewer top sellers. It all has a synergistic effect on the site Mike.

People don't like sites that are hard to use,. fewer eyeballs, lower sale prices, fewer top sellers, less diverse chip selection are all the result of a site that isn't user friendly.

Chuck agreed because he feels annoyed, as I do, at having to log in multiple times.

Pointing out the flaws at JPA constitutes constructive criticism Mike, not an attack. It's user feedback so they can look at some of the issues raised and see if addressing them would improve their site. I think Norm agrees that the log in problem is exactly that - a problem. And you can bet that if Norm could get the identical functionality eBay has, he would take it in a second.

You would too - anyone would. If he had that, buyers would favor a chipper-run site over feeBay - I would, you would. Almost every chipper would.

Maybe the better sellers would list there and make a gradual transition off feeBay and onto JPA. I could happen, but it will take time and hard work. Without a strategy and plan, it will never happen.

Chuck agreed and I'm sure others do as well, but don't have the time or desire to put up long-winded posts, or incurr the wrath of others.

As far as me being my own worst enemy - I come accross strong and I realize that. I've made an effort to keep a lid on it at Greg Susong's request.

I call 'em as I see 'em and as far as that goes, I am who I am and there's no point in trying to be someone else. While I don't enjoy much public support on the board, I can say that I get a fair amount of private email that is supportive.

One guy wrote something like "I don't know how long you've been into chip collecting, or why you started, but thank goodness for people like you. I hope you never leave the hobby."

Mike - try to view my statements as constructive criticism because that is what they are meant to be, not attacks.
