.... and more important than virus protection is BACK-UP YOUR DATA!!! All too many times I have seen not a virus but OPERATOR ERROR screw up their machines and cause them to lose data. I think that is the single most important thing to do. Next is virus protection and keeping your system updated as well as using good judgement with opening email.
