I think that this is just a typical situation, and if it is a concern, the customer should send a friendly e-mail to the other and explain the feelings and thought process, and ask, please don't bid against me. If the dealer's prices are lower than everybody else, then what is the harm? There are plenty of dealers out there who are all working hard to help us chippers but make a small profit. If they bid against me for something they want, I can always let them win without running the bids up, then buy the chip at a decent price if they decide to put it into inventory.
