One of the things we are trying to do in this hobby is to avoid the mistakes of the coin & stamp world. One of those mistakes is multiple reference systems. The overwhelming majority of chippers use TCR as their primary reference. Why set up a duplicate numbering system? With thousands of chips in my collection, I am certainly not going to go back & revise my data base to include another (un-needed) reference number.

Let me be the first to say: "We don't need two cataloging systems!"
