CC & GTCC is a Club that is controlled by a Constitution and By-Laws administered by a board of officers elected by the membership of the Club. The Club's conduct and ethics rules are, in some ways, similar to criminal laws that are administered by Federal, State, and local law enforcement organizations--you commit a crime against a fellow member or harm a fellow member you can expect to be dealt with severely. The Club is not bound by the safeguards that citizens of this country enjoy--the only rights we have are those set forth in the Constitution and By-Laws. The Club is not a democracy, it is an organization run by a board of officers elected by a majority vote of the membership. Those officers are sworn and bound to run the Club consistent with the Constitution and By-Laws that were set forth at the birth of the Club and nothing else.
I was a Club officer at the time of the incident being discussed. I voted to expell the individual from the Club for the violations he committed against another member. In my opinion the Club's umbrella should not be opened to cover anyone who was convicted of a crime against another member!
