It's still the Thunderbird, according to Google. Not exactly Bellagio quality, though. Here are two web comments posted by guests:

Despite being shown as 'renovated'; the only thing I saw that could be considered renovated was the lobby and exterior of main bldg. Otherwise, rooms are as old as me (60+)and show their age rather badly. Room was in a second bldg, blew a light bulb upon entering, light bar above sink had at least 3 different types of bulbs, no drinking glass (or anything else) on the sink. Shower was exactly that, not shower/tub. Water pressure was really good, but water splashed out because curtain was too short. Had king size bed & was comfortable, but tv was from fifties, no remote, just dial a channel. Holes in floor. I had booked 5 nights, checked out next morning. Area surrounded by adult bookstores and strip clubs. You get what you pay for(booked online for 23.99 night). Moved to one of the Station casinos & happy I did. If you want to save money & can stand it; this will work for you. Personally, not my cup of tea.

Don't confuse with the historic Thunderbird which has not been in operation for many years! We were told our room was not ready for an early check-in...fair enough since we arrived before 3:00pm. When we returned to check in after 3, we were told we still hadn't been assigned a room and taken to one with no towels, no working telephone, drapes that did not close and no electricity!! Not sure what they were doing to make our room ready, but seemed they needed an electrician more than a maid! We were 'assigned to another room' which was much cleaner smelling and had electricity, but no phone instructions, no remote for the TV, only one set of towels for the two of us (with no bath towel at all). The window did not lock, but we were able to secure it ourselves. We requested an additional set of towels including bath towels, but in the two nights we stayed never saw a second set, although the initial set was replaced the second night?!?!?! We were awakened several times in the night with what appeared to be prostitutes in the parking lot. We learned a lesson...never stay at ANYTHING farther north than the Stratsophere... ALSO we were initially mis-charged, and will have to wait to see if it ever got right when the credit card statement comes in! We were warned not to stay there again by several waitress' in the area as well as the driver who took us to the airport who seemed to believe the place had been closed down some time ago...maybe it was and no one told the staff!!!!
